Taster: Brittany Tiplady
Where: Chambar, 568 Beatty Street
Neighborhood: Crosstown
Hair of the dog: The Phall Collins- Cucumber, gin and Amaro Montenegro shaken with fresh lemon juice & topped with soda, $12 (not pictured), and a lavender latte to start.
What we ate: To start, a waffle topped with white chocolate pistachio rosewater. For the main event, the Fricassé. Braised short ribs, balsamic cippolini onions, potatoes, watercress, fried eggs, applewood smoked cheddar, plated in a cast iron pan.
What we loved: Having only previously only frequented Chambar for their dinner menu, I was excited to try it for brunch. From the exposed brick, and creative lighting, to the vast drink selection, Chambar is the perfect date spot with any company at any time of day.
