What we ate: The feature Tex-Mex benedict. Red pepper infused hollandaise, corn, beet chips, golden free-range eggs poached perfectly medium plated with a generous salad and signature hashbrowns. On the side, a buckwheat pancake topped with cashew cream.

What we loved: Heirloom on a rainy Sunday sets the perfect mood for brunch with a girlfriend, chatting about matters of the heart and sipping on 49th Parallel cappuccinos. The space is elegant and warm, adorned with exposed brick and soft lighting. Medium priced items, but the menu is option-packed, the portions bountiful and the quality impeccable.
