Babes Who Brunch: Angelina’s

Quaint Dutch brunch does it best on New West’s waterfront

Taster: Kristi Alexandra
Where: Angelina’s, New Westminster Quay
Neighbourhood: Downtown New Westminster

Hair of the Dog: Skip the alcohol and recharge with the grapefruit japaleno cold-pressed juice from Raincity Juicery, $4

What we ate: The Angelina’s classic breakfast with lox (smoked salmon), including two poached eggs. Golden nugget potatoes and raisin toast complement a fresh fruit salad, which is filled with berries, kiwis, and pears (changes day to day as it’s truly fresh fruit). $14

What we loved: This mom-and-pop shop at New Westminster’s waterfront is a local staple. It’s so busy on a Wednesday morning that they have to fill seats outside. It’s a beautiful view from the patio as you watch the Paddlewheeler roll by, granted you’re going on a crisp, sunny autumn day–which we did.
